Dr. Joanne Carlson and the staff of Loving Care Animal Clinic are proud to have served the Rolling Meadows pet community for 10 years. On October 17, 2009 we opened our clinic to the community for a celebration. Mayor Ken Nelson honored us with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The pet costume contest was a hit with Alderman John Pitzaferro awarding prizes to the 5 winners. Self-guided hospital tours included stuffed animal surgery, balloon animals and kids games, tennis ball bobbing for dogs and an educational exam room with Dr. Lisa Lullo on hand to answer questions about the displays. Dr. Carlson and staff would like to thank everyone who attended and to helped make the day a success.
We are proud to announce a new addition to Loving Care Animal Clinic. We have recently purchased a Tonopen which will alllow Dr. Carlson to measure the intraocular pressure on our patients. This noninvasive procedure will aide in the diagnosing of glaucoma.
Loving Care Animal Clinic is pleased to announce that we now offer the Canine Influenza Vaccine for your dog. Canine Influenza can spread from dog to dog quickly and in much the same way the human influenza is passed from person to person. However, according to the CDC, there is no evidence of transmission of the virus from dogs to people. Loving Care Animal Clinic believes that prevention is the key and vaccinating your dog today can prevent your family the medical, financial and emotional costs that Canine Influenza can incur.
